Malaysia

Food! Banana leaf rice – I’ll never forget you 🙂

And the memories bring back memories..

Bali, Java and Vietnam

Amazing nature – best hostels – awful tourists.

But what I’ll always remember is that bus ride from Bali to Java at a breakneck pace. #I’mASurvivor

Philippines 1.2 Cebu

Cebu: noisy, smelly, busy.. and fun.

Sorry Che, I did a very bad job capturing (and riding!) the jeepneys. But I got your fascination. Will try to do better next time.

Philippines 1.1 Malapascua

It’s already been 2 years since I left Tokyo to travel through Southeast Asia.

Malapascua Island, Philippines

First stop was the Philippines, with the most amazing islands to be explored by scooter, and dive. I can’t drive though. And I’m scared of diving. Should’ve thought about that earlier.

Taipei

An entertaining long week-end in Taipei: From bustling night markets to touristic villages.

Only a few hours by plain from Tokyo, definitely a destination to visit, especially if you love tasty food and delicious bubble tea.

Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s skyline, night markets and temples – rather spectacular!

Bangkok

Bangkok, what a city. Never been as overwhelmed with photo motifs yet, never struggled more trying to take good shots.

Bangkok Streetlife

I’ll hopefully get a second chance one day to do justice to those bustling streets!

Hong Kong – street life

A city that never sleeps! Hence, another paradise for street life photography!

But within an hour from the city, you’ll find some great nature stuff, too.

Hong Kong – Markets

Where you can find everything!

…but above all – some very interesting odors.

Okinawa: Ishigaki and Iriomote

Some pictures that unfortunately only poorly show Okinawa’s beauty!

Yaeyama Islands: Definitely worth a journey!
