Hanabi – Japanese fireworks

In summer, fireworks take place almost every day someplace in Japan, over 200 only in August! Drinking and eating together, dressed up in the traditional summer Kimono (Yukata) enjoying the show with family and friends; watching fireworks is a social event.

Like everything in Japan, the spectators too have to be guided and supervised by staff  to maintenance the order! (To be honest, I always considered this as a bit ridiculous until I heard that some people were crushed to death due to the amount of persons who tried to pack a bridge for good view.)
