What makes Berne such a beautiful place is the surrounding nature.
These are some winter impressions from last year – I was freezing my hands off to get some shots of the rising sun.

Last Monday it was snowing in Tokyo as I’ve never seen it before.
I really enjoyed it, however the chaos on the streets was perfect. (And I actually enjoyed that too.)

Four years ago a friend and I spent some incredible (cold) Christmas days in Nagano/Tsumago.
It was the first time I experienced snow – real snow! – in Japan and it easily made up for the shopping hype and the overwhelming Christmas decoration in Tokyo.

A serendipity – this ceremony I run into one evening at India Gate.
It has been a dream for a while to go to India and get immersed in a world of colors. However, 10 days in Delhi were not enough to really experience what I have wished for and there is only one solution: going back one day!

Delhi, where the term “street life” gets an incredible dimension!
“Excuse-me, Madam, very good price, only for you, Madam, have a look, very nice color, good quality..” (But my favorite is still “are you a celebrity? Can I take a picture with you? Only one, Madam!”)

Could they be any cuter?
However, in which country kids don`t chase pigeons or copy from the class` nerd. Only the “cherry-blossom-study” makes them kind of – very Japanese.

Kamakura on a humid early summer day, when nature appears again in lush green after the rainy season.
Most of the pictures are taken at the Meigetsuin – one of my favorite temples in Kita-Kamakura – where you definitely should take a rest, drinking green tea while enjoying the seasonal nature.

Rhodos, what a great party destination: hanging at the beach the whole day, showing and comparing ***** and *****, then spending the night clubbing and singing in cheap karaoke-bars and finally meeting up with drunken rowdies for breakfast at MacDonald’s!
For those who didn’t guess, yep, the first sentence was ironical! Rhodos` nightlife wasn`t my cup of tequila, I rather tried to satisfy my thirst for nature and culture. There are really nice places to discover on daytrips by boat and scooter!

In summer, fireworks take place almost every day someplace in Japan, over 200 only in August! Drinking and eating together, dressed up in the traditional summer Kimono (Yukata) enjoying the show with family and friends; watching fireworks is a social event.
Like everything in Japan, the spectators too have to be guided and supervised by staff to maintenance the order! (To be honest, I always considered this as a bit ridiculous until I heard that some people were crushed to death due to the amount of persons who tried to pack a bridge for good view.)
